The Dark Side of Dudie Drive

This is for Tracy, who likes dark daylilies, some of my recent bloomers: First is Smith Brothers, a truly fitting name for this daylily.

Siloam Plum Tree isn't the darkest, but it repeat blooms for me and is one of my longest bloomers.
Black Briar Bay isn't the darkest either, but that's a great name. There really is a Black Briar Bay.
Night Wings is much like Midnight Magic, but more velvety texture, like a bat's wing. If you've got a bat's wing, bring it over and we'll compare.
Cinderella's Dark Side (Apps 95) is pretty dark, and that green throat is really interesting. We finally got almost half an inch of rain today, more than in the whole last month. Sunday we got absolutely nothing while three miles away they got over an inch. What a wild season it's been! Start preparing your tags for the Show on Saturday at Church of the Messiah on Rt. 202 just south of Sumneytown Pike (Gwynedd, PA). Submit before 10 and come back 1 to 4 pm to see the display. Between 10 and 1, visit Manatawny Creek Farm just west of Pottstown, PA where the Skinners' hybrids, vintage, and lots of other cultivars are available. Directions are on the web at http://www.manatawnycreekfarm.com/
