Other Interesting Daylilies July 8 Philadelphia


Tossed Salad got mysteriously booted from my near-whites post, but it has a wonderful green throat and the substance of lettuce. A $5 daylily that more people should grow.
Breed Apart is a favorite because it looks like nothing else. (Salter 96)
Carpenter had guts to name this "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be", but he could be right.
Bridgeton Kodak Moment is a great name for a standout bloom- nobody mistakes this for anything else.
Finally, Party Pinafore first bloom today (Kirby 99). Was hard to find but getting more available; it's worth looking for. When I visited Jack Carpenter's Texas Farm he was using this in his breeding program.
