Lovely Margie (Lovell 05) came from Connecticut, so it was a real surprise to have it bloom so early. This is a DIP and the only other things blooming were the Earlybirds (Tets), so I had nothing to use the pollen on. This is a striated color pattern that I think is going to be interesting when crossed with some of my other Dips.
THEN the next day my new Radiation Biohazard (also a Diploid) bloomed! I should have saved the pollen from Lovely Margie yesterday, but I didn't.
Also blooming today, Mexicalli Miss, which I've had for several years. It's Gilbert Wild 1987, an early bloomer, but I don't remember it ever blooming THIS early.
