GSDG October 15 Meeting CANCELLED
Due to lack of sufficient entries, the GSDG photo contest and 10/15/06 meeting have been cancelled. See you in 2007. Until then, here are some daylilies STILL blooming in my Zone 6b garden. Thanks, Dick, for my "Point of View", a supurb addition to the late garden! October 7 was the 2nd to last bloom- one bud left. Big (8" plus) and not expensive if you get it from Ridaught in Florida.
Siloam Plum Tree is looking a bit tired, but it's been a great rebloomer this year, when many others haven't.
Castle Double Royalty is a first year Florida bloom, not rebloom. Hope it survives the winter. It had some trouble opening when the high was in the 60's, but so do I.
Big Time Happy should be in more gardens. I will be replacing most of my Happy Returns with this; it's bigger, stands up to rain without turning to tissue, and reblooms almost as well.
